(A little bit) About me.
My passion for fitness began many years ago, when leotards and slouch socks were in vogue, and I enjoyed one too many drinks. Fast forward 30 years (I’ve ditched the leotards) but I’m just as passionate about fitness, still enjoy wine, and encourage others to find what works for them. For me, strength training, cycling and yoga are my go to’s, with recreational running and plenty of dog walking to relax.
For three decades I’ve witnessed many fads and trends come and go, with a proliferation of social media ‘experts’ and influencers, yet the fundamental principles of health and wellbeing remain unchanged; eat well and stay active. These principles have seen me through a multitude of life experiences, and enabled me to remain fit, strong and focused. Proof that regular and consistent exercise really does make a difference!
After 20 years of recreational training, reading and researching many aspects of exercise and physiology, I qualified as a personal trainer in 2009, subsequently adding a variety of qualifications to my toolkit including GP referral, pre and post-natal, and most recently, low back pain. Having trained through pregnancy and rehabbed from injury, I champion the significance of postural alignment, understanding how frustrating rehab can be, and most importantly, the correct way to go about it.
